Balloon Bash Explosion Card Stampin' Up! UK Peg with Tutorial

For the card I'm sharing today I used the Balloon Bash Stamp Set

The front of the card is two simple stamped images.... although I did use my Misti.... when stamping solid images you can easily re ink the stamp if it's not a perfect image and it's like magic and stamps exactly over the previous image... love that

and for the inside I made an explosion of paper!!

After a few requests for a tutorial I have a photo step by step for you how to create the explosion inside the card

I used a good quality printer paper and cut it to 20cm x 20cm and my card base was 21cm x 21cm

You can create any square card and just make the explosion a little smaller for example a 4.1/4" x 4.1/4" card just cut the paper to  8.1/8" square

Start with the square piece of paper and stamp and decorate as desired

fold in half to make a triangle use a bone folder to make really good creases

Unfold and fold the opposite way  

Open up and flip over fold in half to form a rectangle this is what it will look like opened up with mountain and valley fold, this helps with the next stage

the sides should push in easily and you end up with this below 

another picture to make sure you have it right

Next make a pencil mark at the half way point and fold in the side pieces

 Flip it over and do the same again, it should now look like this

now open and push in those small triangles

it should look something like this

now you have it looking like this below

add adhesive to one side and add into your card, my card was 21cm x 10.5cm scored at 10.5cm and folded in half

add adhesive to the top and close the card and you are done!
