Hello You Thinlits - Happy Birthday Card

Hello again, thanks for visiting

I think this latest Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue is one of the best yet and it's certainly given me inspiration to make some really lovely cards and projects.....

Today I am sharing a card using the Hello You Thinlits and in particular I used the happy die

I used the In Laid technique for this card ......... a little fiddly but I so enjoyed placing all those little pieces of Whisper White inside the sentiment !!!

updated 22nd February 2015 to explain the inlaid technique

Die cut the happy from patterned paper and Whisper White, save the inner pieces of Whisper White to add later and set aside
Die cut the happy from 3 pieces of Mount Board

attach the WW to the patterned paper lining up the happy cut out and add to a card front

stick the mount board and the patterned paper on top of each other with the patterned paper on top and add to the front piece of WW

that's it, do ask or comment if you need any more details

The Designer Paper is Best Year Ever and to get the height in the Happy I used the Mount Board, it die cuts like a dream

the Birthday sentiment is from the Four You Stamp Set and I masked off the Happy before stamping

Thanks so much for taking a look

Please do leave a comment if you have time

Until next time .........

Stippled Blossoms and Stampin' Up! New In Colour

I have been awake most of the night it seems I seem to go through weeks like this!  last night was better than the night before though!  I wonder why it is? is it getting older? or is it since giving up work my brain isn't active enough?
after I have posted this I will have a nice cup of tea and I'm sure that will make me feel better.

Today's card to share is using Stippled Blossom Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! and is one of my favourites,  I am happy it's not on the retiring list so we know it's in the up coming Annual catalogue!

I used Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow, these colours will be available to purchase 1st July

I stamped and fussy cut a little flower to pop up on the bottom, you might just be able to see in in the photo below

The sentiment is from the Four You Stamp set and I cut this out with Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits available now and will be in the new Annual Catalogue 1st July

Well, I'm hoping for another sunny/hot day like yesterday and have a good book on my kindle so you know where I will be today!

Until next time .......... happy crafting
Select the products below to shop, the In Colours will be available 1st July

Stampin' Up! Hello Card

Since I have been retired I don't seem to have enough time to craft! how does that work? When I worked I was sometimes away for 3/4 days and got more crafting done then..... I think it's because the more time I have the more I think I have and I don't! so me thinks I have to have a plan of action and when I find out what it is I will let you know.......

I didn't get chance to photograph this until this morning and I know my photo's don't always do the card justice and I think this is another of those occasions!!!

I used the Subtles Core'dinations card for my layering Whisper White is the base and Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla the other Oh I know the base doesn't look like Whisper White but I sponged
the edges with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, the 3 Doilies are die cuts using the Sizzlits

Here is a closer look at my little flowers and pearls, I think you can see the texture in the card on this photo.....love that and I think I am going to do something else today using it.... don't know what yet though?

Thanks for looking
Nearly forgot the sentiment stamp is from Four You Stamp set

Until next time ....... be crafty

Positively Chevron and Four You

Hooray!
I have sorted out my computer!!!

It has taken me all day but I am there and you won't believe how glad I am to have it back, funny you never miss something until it's not there eh?

Anyway, a little card I made a while ago to share using the Positively Chevron again, well it's part of previously stamped image, I used some of the piece from the last post where I only used part of it.

The Thank you is stamped in Bermuda Bay and the 3 brads are the Candy dots and not actually brads, love Stampin' Up! for matching everything for us.

Well hopefully I will be back with something else soon

Until next time.......... don't you just love computers and the internet?

Stampin' Up! catalogue CASE

After I posted on my blog yesterday, I really felt the need to craft!
so I did! because I can....... I scheduled it as well to save time tomorrow!

When I was looking through the latest 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! catalogue recently I spotted a decorated Pillow Box on Page 69

So today I am showing you my CASE (Copy and Steal everything), The Stippled Blossom Stamp set is showcased on this and from my new stash I used the Four You stamp set for the sentiment as in the catalogue

I think I got it more or less the same

Have a lovely Monday!

Until next time ............. happy days!
