Starry Night Background - Stampin' Up! Star Stencil

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at a card I made yesterday, I had time to play with a stencil from Hearts and Stars Stencil from Stampin' Up!  the Star one is the one I used

For the background I used Distress Inks on Watercolour Paper - It's the Bristol super smooth the one I use with my Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and it was perfect with the distress inks

The colour makes a change from blues for a night sky and this reminds me of space and the sky some of us saw in the UK the other night 

I added some water droplets and sponged over the star stencil with a mixture of perfect pearls and water - it came out a bit smudgy because I think I added a little too much water but I still liked the effect

I die cut some stars from the Detailed Santa Thinlits using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and the same with the Noel die from Wonderful Wreath Framelits
