Embossing Tutorial How to double emboss

As promised here is the tutorial on the embossing

Okay here we go with a step by step on how to emboss with 2 embossing folders
I used Stampin' Up! Fancy Fan Folder and the Oval from Designer Frames a set of 2

1. using board cut an oval out where you want the designer oval to be
I used 3 layers of the backing from our dsp packs

2. attach this with temporary adhesive to the back of the embossing folder

Photo's aren't perfect as I took these on Thursday when the light was poor and really foggy outside

3. Attach the ovals you have cut out to the back of the Oval designer embossing folder
I used 3 layers again cut from the backing in our dsp packs

4. next step using the Big Shot and all tabs closed and only one cutting plate
place your cardstock inside the Fancy Fan embossing folder and place on the multipurpose plate then add the cutting plate over this and crank it through

This is what you will get

5. place the oval embossing folder over the area that is blank

6. place on top of the Multipurpose plate with all tabs closed as before and place the cutting plate over the top and crank it through the Big Shot

Ta Da ..... this is what you get

Decorate as desired

I used the Elegant Butterfly punch and Papillion Potpourri stamp for mine

and the Itty Banners Framelits and matching stamp set called Itty Bitty Banners

Here is a side view

Hope you have a go at this it is quite easy really

I would love to see what you do so do link back if you use the tutorial please

thanks for looking any questions? you know what to do..... email or call

Until next time
enjoy!

Elegant Butterfly and Believe a bit of fun too

A little bit of information first before I go on to my card so if you want to skip this then scroll down!

On Friday night we went to our local Hall where there was a Rock and Roll event to raise money for the hall so we went along to support it.  The band was fantastic called "The Atlantics" not that this sort of music was my era but from the minute they started playing and singing the dance floor was filled! and I have to say some were just amazing dancers, I wish I could dance rock and roll, well lets be honest!!! I wish I had some rhythm to dance any kind of dance! my legs seem to belong to no part of my body believe me!

Anyway, as usual we were some of the last to leave and a friend of ours, for a laugh part way through the night dressed up in this outfit! so of course hubby had to try it on!!
The photo was taken by someone else on their phone so it's not brilliant but it's still funny to me.

I laughed so much I was crying! so a good night had by all.

Onto the card today, I took the photo this morning so it's not brilliant either but I think you get the idea

The butterflies were stamped using the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and punched out with the Elegant butterfly punch look like they are about to take flight

Well I have to dash as I have a class this afternoon and a few chores to do before then

Until next time ............ enjoy your Sunday!

Don't forget to pop by tomorrow to see the embossing tutorial!

A brief change from Christmas but not long..... I love making Christmas cards.... but then you probably know that already by how many I show on here!

So this is a bit different eh?

I used the Elegant Butterfly punch and the coordinating stamp set Papillion Potpourri
The designer paper is Patio Party and I die cut each piece with the Large Scallop Edgelits die, the card was embossed using the Lacy Brocade embossing folder available in the Autumn/Winder catalogue

Here is a closer look

and the inside I stamped with a greeting from Perfectly Penned stamp set

Gotta run as I have to get my Flu jab shot at the Doctors surgery this morning and have a class with some lovely ladies this afternoon

Until next time ........ have a great Saturday!

Twisted Greeting Card

Yesterday I was having a look on Stampin' Connection a Stampin' Up! site Demonstrators can visit for inspiration and there are over 1500 video tutorials on there!! with much much more.... can you believe it?  I forgot all about taking a look until yesterday?

I don't know about you but I find if I start surfing I don't get any crafting done!!

......... one of the latest video tutorials is this Twisted Greeting Card and I knew it would be something I had to make, I used Twitterpated designer paper and baha breeze card for the base.

The punches are all 3 scallop punches from Stampin' Up! the cute small one is currently available in the Seasonal Autumn Winter Catalogue

The Elegant butterfly punch is coming due in our Annual catalogue on October 1st

This is the inside
I didn't stamp a greeting yet so that I can decide when I need it to put an appropriate one on

Also there is a pocket to hold a gift card or a photo or just a note

So easy to make but they always are when you know how........

Until next time .......Have a great week

A Reason to Smile ... Yes!

...... I got to use my FREE stamp set at last! it's only the second time and I decided to use the daisy looking stamp from Reason To Smile and I think it does make me smile :)

I used the Fun Flowers die to make a mask and colour in the large flower and the flourish stamped in Old Olive is from Everything Eleanor stamp set.

Here is a close up I added some bling rhinestones and to finish off die cut some butterflies using the Beautiful Wings embosslit and the new Elegant Butterfly punch from Stampin' Up! that my sister got me for my Birthday she lives in Connecticut USA, watch this space as I'm sure we will be getting it in the UK..... fingers crossed

Hope to show you some more cards soon
