Distressed Dots

Hello and good morning to you

I had been waiting patiently for my order to arrive from Stampin' Up! last week but the Distressed Dots was on back order but.......... I didn't have to wait long at all Jim in the Brown Van brought it yesterday and of course I had to get stamping.........

I decided on Sahara Sand and Pool Party for my colour choice and some of the fabulous faceted buttons that you can still get for FREE with a £45 order before postage

For a change the close up first
I used the Fun Flowers die and the blossom party die for the flowers and the leaves are die cut from the Secret Garden framelits

this next photo is the lying down version..... the card not me! ..... I couldn't seem to get a decent picture

and the standing up version

Believe me it's very blingy as I used some of the Glimmer card FREE with hosting or purchasing £150 all this before 22nd March though....... so hurry if you want the FREE stuff

Until next time ............ happy days full of crafting.....

It's a Stampin' Up! sneak peak from Summer Mini

First things first I want to say thank you to everyone who sent me Birthday wishes for yesterday.

I had a lovely Birthday just doing what I wanted and I bet you can't guess what that was?  Then out for dinner with hubby last night .... yummy .... I was naughty and even had a desert! lovely baked Lemon Torte it was really tangy... yum yum....

One of my pressies yesterday was a book by Rachel Khoo called The Little Paris Kitchen there has also been a TV series on it, anyway there are some amazing recipes in there and I am looking forward to making them, the first recipe in the book is Fig and Chicken Liver Salad, I intend to have this one as soon as I can I just love figs ...... the rest of the recipes in the book will follow not long after, love it!

So, this was the card I was going to post yesterday, I used Mocha Morning designer paper, love that paper I have even purchased a pack to keep and not open!  but I have some left from when I used it on my envelope mini album that I made during the Christmas break and posted in January on here.

this first pic wasn't brilliant so .......

I took another, for the flower I used the Fun Flowers die and the sentiment is a real favourite Sincere Salutations punched out with the large Oval punch, this was backed by some Blushing Bride card that I ran through the Big Shot with the oval from the Designer Frames embossing folders.

The sneak peak is of the blushing bride ribbon!

I attached this over black satin ribbon and layered that onto blushing bride card that I ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, I inked that and then added some Stampin' Up! gold embossing powder to it.
here is the close up,love that ribbon!

......... Until next time ......... have a great Sunday!

Timeless Portrait Fun flower brooch

Wow! isn't Christmas sneaking up on us?
I feel like I'm running backwards as I don't seem to be getting very far.

Anyway let me tell you about this name brooch I made; my friend Wendy was challenged to make a new name badge for her ladies guild, remember I did a demo there a while ago, well this project came up at that meeting and I suggested she should use the Fun Flowers die from Stampin' Up! to make her new name badge.......... so Wendy was going to use my die and bring over some material to do it........ I knew I had to make one so I could show her how to make it and this was my attempt... the letters weren't actually stuck on yet in this photo.......... as I thought this was only an idea... anyway Wendy forgot to bring over her material so I gave her this one so at least she had one made.

A close up and still the letters weren't attached yet anyway Wendy was please she had a brooch to enter the competition...

Guess what? SHE WON with my little brooch........I was very pleased for her

....... Until next time .......... have a great day!

Hello, what a week eh? where does the time go? "I know" it goes to work! Oh well home again now so quit the wittering on and get on and show the project............that's what viewers of this blog are looking at!

Well I know you have already seen this card using Manhattan Flower embossing folder from Stampin' Up! but here it is again!
I decided it really did need a box so decorated a see through acetate one shown here

very easy but I just think it finished off the card, using the Four Frames stamp set and SU Gold embossing powder, the Mr and Mrs stamp is from Tiny Tags all finished with some Gold elastic.

the ribbon is 5/8" Organza in lovely whisper white

That's it then....
.............Until next time................... be crafty

Fun flowers Brooches

No Post yesterday Sorry!
anyway hope these make up for it?

Luxembourg is a beautiful quaint place and I would certainly like to come back for maybe a city break where I could have a good look around instead of just working!

Anyway, over last weekend I made a few brooches using the Fun Flowers die, here they are all together

this is probably my favourite

Using the Big Shot it goes through materials like a knife through butter!
my black and white versions

This is my Pub land lady version! love it!

and finally a reverse of the top black and white one

that's it for today, hope you are having a good week?
will be back tomorrow with something else before heading home and then Thursday is my Birthday and I have a class that I am really looking forward to.

I should have offered some blog candy for my birthday but didn't get around to taking the picture so hope you can pop back next week for a belated offering.

......... Until tomorrow....... be crafty.......
