I have a CASE card to share with you today

It's an envelope card and I CASEd this from a fellow blogger Tracy, I have been a follower for about 4 years and Tracy has some fantastic projects she shares on her blog and also Youtube

I decided to use Modern Medley designer paper for mine

I added a hinge at the back so I could send it as a card

and the hearts are from Hearts a Flutter

The tag inside is where you can write/stamp your sentiment and I created the top with the Envelope Punch Board

You can watch a video from Tracy to see how to make this card here

Thanks for stopping by today

Stampin' Up! Modern Medley Gate fold Easel card

Yesterday was the Far Forest show and instead of me being in the craft tent I actually spent the afternoon enjoying the events, we had a great time and then last night what a sky it was quite something all pink and basic grey! by the time I got a photo it wasn't that good but I thought I would share anyway

We heard there were going to be a shower of meteorites last night so we lit our chiminee and sat to wait but all we saw were clouds for a while then we saw a star moving in a very straight line, hubby says it was probably the space station but who knows eh?

Onto my card to share, this was the birthday card I made for my brother in law, Ian

I used Timeless talk and Modern Medley for the gate fold easel card

Here it is opened up

and a close up

Thanks for popping by for a look

Until next time ........ happy days!

Modern Medley Envelope Mini Album

During the week we were without the Internet I started working on a Mini Album and I couldn't resist making it using Stampin' Up! Modern Medley designer paper, I love making these and decorating them is the real fun bit

Here is a sort of view from the side

and an overhead view.... I waited until I got my Autumn/Winter catalogue pre order and used the Gift Bow Die.... such a useful die and not just for Christmas as you can see I have used it to decorate the top of my album

Here is the first page (warning I am not showing all of the pages today) I used the Post Card stamp for a journalling tag and on the other side you can add a photo, I made the pocket using my Envelope Punch Board and decorated that with a Blossom flower punch and on top placed a stamped flower from Flower Shop stamp set, the Very Vintage button I thread some black taffeta ribbon

all of the pockets hold 2 tags for photo's and jounalling and on this page I used some window sheet and lace to make a pocket to hold a tag, I used Happy Day stamp set and the background is stamped with butterflies from Best of Butterflies stamps

the tag from the above pocket opens up so you can add journalling and a photo, I created one of the photo mats using Apothecary Accents stamp set and die cut with the matching framelits

Today is my friend Ian's 60th Birthday Happy Birthday Ian
and I will show you the card I made for him tomorrow and more of the album will follow

Until next time....... have a great day!

5 Days of Modern Medley Day 5

It's a box for Day 5

It will hold all 4 cards and envelopes

I found it hard to photograph but I think you get the idea
I decorated the top with a small piece of card and the 1/8" taffeta ribbon

the Modern Medley designer paper was cut using the Label framelits, the sentiment is from Chalk Talk and the gorgeous Cotton ribbon just finished it off beautifully, me thinks!

here is an angled view

and a closer look at the front

and an all together photo, the best place I could get a photo was on the stair bannister!!!

Thanks for stopping by for the 5 days, if you did?
If you have just popped by today you may want to see the other 4 days
I have linked them below

Until next time .......... happy Stampin' Up! Modern Medley dsp, I love it!

5 Days of Modern Medley Day 4

Here we go with Day 4 of Modern Medley

I used Chalk Talk and Happy Day stamp sets for the sentiments

2 of the squares were cut using the Square Framelits and the other with my Stampin' Trimmer

The For You stamp, I punched out with circle punches that layer on top of each other, of course, from Stampin' Up! All the punches can be found on pages 180-183 in the latest catalogue.  Click the picture on the right to download your copy, if you would like the catalogue in hard copy you can buy one using the paypal button on the right and I will post it out to you.

The banner looks crooked on the photo but it's just the angle of the photo!

The base card is Natural Ivory and 2 small pieces of the Modern Medley attached each side and the centre panel is a piece of basic black.  The card gives the illusion that a large piece of the designer paper covers the base card and the centre pieces look like they are mats.

My class ladies today get to see Day 5 early, do pop back tomorrow for the finale

Until tomorrow......... thanks for looking

A strip of the gorgeous Modern Medley designer paper over a die cut scallop using Tasteful Trim die.

The Delicate Doily layered over a circle cut with the Circles Framelits and a stamp from the Chalk Talk stamp set, stamped and layered over a Deco label

Lots more than just the Modern Medley designer paper used on this card

5 Days of Modern Medley Day 2

Thanks for stopping by today for a look at Day 2 of my Stampin' Up! Modern Medley set of cards

Yesterday I went to the opticians, I hate going there more than the dentist but it has to be done eh? I have been meaning to go for ages; anyway last week I had a real problem with my right contact lens and yesterday I found out why.... it had a split in it... no wonder I couldn't see very well!! Oh well a new pair have now been ordered so I'm wearing glasses for a few days... maybe my cards and photo's will be better?

Enough of that and onto the card......

I used Basic Black for the card base and embossed the bottom with one of the embossing folders from Needlepoint Border

Obviously a piece of the gorgeous Modern Medley designer paper....
the Sizzlit Delicate Doily layered with a punch Blossom flower and on top of that a stamped flower from Flower Shop, punched with the matching Daisy punch

a small scallop punch in basic black with one of the gorgeous vanilla Very Vintage buttons on top threaded with a small piece of 1/8" taffeta ribbon in black

Here is a closer look

thanks again for stopping for a look

Until tomorrow ...... happy Thursday!

Modern Medley and Simply Sketched

Monday has come around again and what a weekend eh? the weather here is scorching, so lovely to be enjoying sitting out and yesterday was a great day, we went to Bewdley to watch some local teams playing cricket and a BBQ.  Luckily we had gazebos to shelter from the sun! can you imagine me saying that!!!

Then Andy Murray won at Wimbledon; I was so pleased and proud too.

Saturday, I had a class and so only got to sit out for a couple of hours in the sun..... that's the trouble if the sun is out I don't get to craft but I have had a few cards in reserve to show you.

I used the Modern Medley designer paper; the scallop strip is die cut using  the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die and the beautiful poppy image is from a Stampin' Up! hostess set called Simply Sketched, the sentiment is part of the same set of stamps

Here is a closer look at the poppy layered on top of some die cut ovals  I coloured it using a blender pen and Strawberry Slush ink pad

All products used are Stampin' Up!

the hostess set is available with a £150 order or hosted party, all details can be found from page 200 in the 2013-2014 catalogue

Until next time ....... happy days in the sun

Papillion Potpourri and Modern Medley

Update on the little ducks today is I searched the whole garden for them yesterday and kept popping out to the pond to see if they were around .... but nowhere to be seen!
I'm just hoping Mommy is taking care of them somewhere hidden and safe.

So onto the card today, I had fun with this one stamping a couple of butterflies from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and adding some pearls, I scribbled the trail of each butterfly with a black Stampin' marker

the strips of paper at the bottom are from a brand new designer paper from the new catalogue available July, it's all black and vanilla, love it! and I'm going to be using it!!! instead of storing it and just looking at it... so watch out for some more cards using it!

The button is also new called Very Vintage

If you haven't got hold of your new catalogue yet

See this post for the paypal button to buy a new catalogue total including postage £4.80.  Scroll to the bottom.

Until next time....... happy day to you ...
